It has been my experience that when a company buys back shares, the shares go up quite a bit. It might take some time, but eventually the stock is worth much more than when the buy back occurred.

Here's hoping for better days.

Judy

Justin or thread:

The tender offer for the 66 million shares of NCR Japan will expire on June 3, 1998, unless extended. Has anyone seen any news or updates on the status of the buyback? Any bets on whether it will be completed as planned or extended?

I haven't seen a quote on NCR Japan shares lately, but I would think that the tendered price is even more attractive to the holders now than it was then ....

Thanks,
Tim
