I think you are right about the mm

He/She/They are doing everything to get my calls expire worthlessly today (April 20's). I was expecting at least 25 by today. They must be keeping it down to expire all these Calls. Expect a surge next week.

Cameron, I am wondering what the point of you logic is? Of course ADPT isn't liked by the MM's right now; that is why we have a buy low opportunity. The fact is though that they loved the company in the past and they will in the future based on my analysis of what the company and the market in their products is doing. Why is it that a stock that just finished correcting after a terrific run is a bad company now? Tech stocks are cyclical. You don't buy and hold tech stocks. You play the cycles. You buy at exactly times like these when the thing is out in the short-term. Longterm, we are likely to see a similar performance as in the past.

As for all of the arm-chair analysis of bandwidth in Fiber Channel vs. Ethernet; MEANINGLESS as far as the stock price behavior goes. Isn't that what we are looking for; not a layman's brief in the basics of the technology. Believe me, the MM's have a somebody that has far more of the details than we will get and they are what matters. At some point, something will trigger interest and this stock will move again. We will only know that trigger after the fact. The point is; is this a sound company to put money on for the future at the current price point. All of the technical facts are unchanged.

HLIT is a good comparison. It got shot down and lay dead for a long time. Now it has been upgraded and is moving. Why wouldn't people have bought when it was at 11? At that time the news on HLIT was identical to Adaptec in nature. Dead market. That didn't last long for HLIT. The time to buy is when nothing good is out there and all the bad is on the table. If you can't make a good argument for buying the stock and yet the price is stable, it is probably because you are looking at a bottom in the thing. That's the buy time.
