There was also a report that spending by cable firms will increase from 400M to 700M. The sub-1000 PC boom in the fall begat the internet service boom in the winter-spring which will begat the telecom infrastructure spending boom in summer-fall. The telecom equipment stocks are moving up in relative strength.

GI Interest in Broadcom

You can see GI's interest by looking at Broadcom's S-1/A SEC
filing. The Apr. 15 version shows GI holding 2.25 million
B shares of Broadcom.

Intel holds 1.576 million B shares, Scientific-Atlanta holds 1.5 million B shares, Cisco holds 500,000 A shares.
