Actually Jones stood to make a helluva lot more money by not going for the appeal. No book deal, no paid interviews, you get my drift? The way I see it, she's putting her chance for public vindication above any financial reward. You know Janice there's an old saying "Better a lean settlement than a fat lawsuit", which certainly would have applied here if she was only interested in cash. She has no guarantee whatsoever of winning the appeal, let alone the suit itself. So if it's money she's after, better to make the talk show circuit and the book tour, capisce?
