Not trying to change the subject, but I did have a thought about net stocks that derive their revenue from ads.

Most people don't like the ads - the take time to load and are distracting. Now that Netscape has published their source code, what is to stop someone from creating a modified version of a browser that does not display ads?

I imagine such a browser would be very popular & if the change could be made as an add-in or patch for existing netscape users probably even more people would use it.

Come to think of it, if I wrote such a patch and then gave DoubleClick a chance to buy it from me to keep me from releasing it as freeware, I wonder how much they would be willing to pay. Hmmmm....
