"He reversed the upward momentum and drove the price of the stock down - "

Hi Mary,

Among those I read, the consensus was that a successful Intel earnings report would drive the price at least several points higher than the recent high of 79 5/8.

In spite of favorable earnings interpretation by CNBC Tuesday evening (many thought the First Call $.72 included the 9 cent charge), Intel's price Wednesday morning never exceeded 79 1/4, and it was trading below 77 shortly after 10:30. At that time IMO the upward earnings momentum was over!

There is no question Kurlak's 3:30 remarks accelerated the decline, but to suggest it broke the upward momentum is probably an overstatement.

Best Trading, X
