I'm not questioning whether CUBE is a good long term stock, just noting that it is not happening today, on the heels of the earnings announcement.

It is interesting to note, however, that I thought it was a good long term stock a year ago, and when I was researching the stock, I found SI. My SI membership, however, has been more profitable than CUBE in the last year, as my position in CUBE is still very much underwater (I'm one of those investors that got burned in the high 20's, glad I missed the 70's, thank you). CUBE has always had lots of promise, that's why it hit 70 in the first place, but earnings have been slow to come because the markets have developed more slowly than expected, and the stock price has suffered as a result. Just call me tired of waiting.

When negotiations between broadcasters and the computer industry went into overtime in November 1996, Claudy was at the table. He has continued to serve as a patient and knowledgeable resource for broadcasters to turn. VTN recently sat down with Claudy during NAB98 to discuss the show and the latest developments in DTV.............

VTN: The networks have announced their HDTV formats. Will this end the format debate between broadcasters and the PC industry?

Claudy: It's all a matter of semantics. Flexibility is the key. We don't have to put labels on all these formats to define the quality. As long as the buyers understand the various performance standards, the public will decide........................
