Well, that article makes clear that Jane is still a social activist, and is involved particularly in fighting teenage pregnancy in Georgia. Isn't that something you, too, are very concerned about? Atlanta is very symbolic of the new south, but time has passed much of the rural south by, and a lot needs to be done there. While I can see where her comments might offend some people, I don't doubt that they are basically a statement of fact. I guess Jane and I are sisters under the skin. She really puts her foot in her mouth sometimes, but I think her heart is usually in the right place.
