Welcome Home "Matt"!! And to your Folks! Your projection of Stability
from within is Beautiful. Don't ever change!

You were asked about while on vacation.
The ride has been a bit bumpy, to say the least.
I personally felt the stock price did rather well
considering the timeliness of the news Apr 14th (pre tax day)!!

This alone distracted some buyers.
I'm assuming the potential sellers remained more focused.

Nice to see you back!

Dave

Matt-In a forward split, people get excited because they know other people are more likely to buy the stock because it's half the price(I know that sounds crazy but it is still true). Moreover, under many circumstances, the doubling of shares reduces the available authorized for dilution. Of course, companies that do forward splits rarely dilute.

With reverse splits, the share price rises but because the shares outstanding reduces, the available authorized is higher, usually. And most companies that reverse big, just can't resist the temptation to seep/leak/ooze/dump shares in the float at those higher prices.
Investors know that and usually start selling off before the reverse occurs, that is why smart outfits announce the reverse after hours with no forward notice.

Oh buddy boy, oh buddy boy, your rational and logic sounds great, but
you are about to have a valuable learning experience about the real world. And I'm not talking about MTV!!!
A reverse split never benefits anyone, period.
I have been involved in three and waited over 2yrs, before the stock even made it back to break even.
I've written a couple of other stocks off just before they announced the reverse split to re enter after the split.
I, like most people knew that a reverse split was inevitable.
But before the merger and 300/1!!!!!! Somebody give this boy a shot of Tequila. You've just flunked investing 101!!!
