Usually, though, it's useful because there are so many posts I can't reasonably follow them in sequence. This is exactly why I think I would put most of the threads I follow in coffeehouse form, given the choice, because it makes it much easier to skim a volume of posts. It's also why I would really like to have different order available for (my choice of) the two thread formats.
