A huge prize awaits the genius who can make it easier for each individual to quickly separate the wheat from the chaff according to his/her level of interest and tolerance. I submit: the "Clubhouse" thread fails in part because it depends on the person posting to decide how worthwhile their words are. The Internet and S.I. would take a giant leap in usefulness if some simple dynamic code were associated with each message indicating the usefulness of the message to the last five or ten readers. Each reader could then set their filter to exclude averages below some moving average from 1 to 5. It would also allow readers to offer a subtle form of feedback without further cluttering the thread with remarks of kudos or flames.
