I must be missing something. How is the dependency of the
worthwhileness of a post on the judgement of the poster
vary according to the thread format? (I'm not sure
"worthwhileness" is a word, but it sounded better than
"worthwhility" <g>.) Why is this problem (if so it is)
more or less severe in either format? At least in the
coffehouse format the "unworthy words" are faster to blip
over, which to me is decisive.

BTW, I don't happen to agree with the original proposition,
but that's not particularly relevant to the question I'm asking.
