Excite's drop had nothing to with their earnings, which was both positive and beat the street estimates. Excite sold off because venture capitalists sold over 1,000,000 shares in after hours on the 16th. Investors viewed this as the venture capitalists having some type of inside knowledge that maybe its time too get out.

The fact of the matter is that nothing I repeat nothing goes straight up. Look at some of the fastest growing stocks of all time....Microsoft, Intel, Cisco etc... They all had both minor as well as major corrections along the way.
