Aloha thread! After reading the newsletter as well as various articles about the deregulation in Europe the outcome is obvious; DCTC is at the right place at the right time! I found at least 10 news releases about Telecom companies either in Europe or US that merge with, or buy its competitors. Even though earnings are important to a company the most important thing for telecoms in Europe today is to generate a good subscriber base as well as expand and install a quality network. A good way to do so if you are a large or medium sized telecom company wanting to get into the European market easily is to buy a company like DCTC. A recent press relase from DCTC was about the agreement with Telefonica de Espana. Again a very smart move. Now we have a quality network installed from a densly populated area where the primary income is from tourism. The good thing about that is that most the of the tourists, including myself, come either from Scandinavia or the U.K. DCTC is involved in both areas! The use of prepaid phone cards is also much more integrated in Europe than in the U.S. My hometown in Sweden, which by the way only has 120,000 citizens and 1/3 of the people have a mobile phones, now has over 90% prepaid phonecard operated payphones; can't find coined based anymore. The same thing is evident all around Europe; it's all prepaid phonecards! The stock price will take care of itself. Even though it hard to accept that the MM's can get away with it?! Patience is key!
