Yes, I know there was a stigma to sexual meanderings. But I think much less so now than in the past, and particularly because Hillary stood by him, I think that at some point after the polls came out indicating the American people thought he was lying about the sex stuff, but didn't care, he could have given a very gracious speech which would have blown Starr out of the water, and stopped the continued lying. One reason he could not do that, however, is if Hillary is standing by him because she is in denial, and really needs to believe the lies to stay in the marriage. But I have no idea about that, I am just speculating based on logic. Their marriage is one of the world's biggest mysteries.
