Janice, All,

With all due respect to Oliver Stone, I think President and
Mrs. Nixon probably had a very good marriage. The President following his wife so quickly in death is a classic symptom of the proverbial good marriage.

Bill and Hillary did the hold hands on camera, and drop' em as soon as they were out of range stuff when they were interviewed for that first 60 Minutes segment. So they are not above pretending to be cordial in public. But what married couples don't do that to some extent, for example when they have had a BIG fight and are having a dinner party in an hour?

With Nixon, I think because of his Quaker upbringing, it was very difficult for him to be emotionally effusive. I am not a Nixon admirer, but I think he loved Pat and was too dysfunctional to show it.
