I like your point about companies having to buy the database
to make sure INCY hasn't already patented what they are studying.
But shouldn't that apply even more to hgsi, which is patenting
more things?

I Second your Emotion

Everyone seems focused on the HUMAN dna database, but let's not forget to mention that Incyte is also focused on the plant & animal kingdoms for further growth.
Incyte is only limited to the number of species in existence which they feel they can exploit as a profitable business endeavor.
The Long Run is just beginning.
