Joe, Isaac, Jim, thread

TTN is having trouble with a long term downtrend line. After it clears this it will need to break through its IHS neckline (currently in the middle to upper 8 range) then it is ready to run.

JoeinIowa: what part? I grew up in Burlington. Still come back every summer for a few months to see old friends and do RAGBRAI.

RE: TTN

I agree, it seems like Titan is a floating TITIANIC. Seems like TTN is resting for a bit, I too got the feeling is was downturning, but I think it a hiccup on the way up. I didn't want to take a chance so I went ahead and positioned at 8. If it dips more Monday then I move into more shares of TTN. Your right $.01 seems low for a quarter concidering they earned .26 cents last fiscal year. Analysts expect .08 cents next quarter which means that they must earn .17 cents in the final 2 qtrs to match last year. My feeling is with all of the revenues that will show up when the aquisitions finalize that it is reasonable to think they will be able to eclipse .26. They are expected to earn .34 c this year, so the analysts are cretainly looking for TTN to perform, mgt must be good here or this won't happen. My sense there is that mgt is good. Anyone know otherwise?

RE: SEMI

SEMI had me a bit confused, I too wondered about there earnings potential and who exactly they compete with. So, the reason that there PE is so much lower is because they distribute and don't manufacture. SEMI also seems to have very little info out on it. Davis J also commented (#689) that on another thread people were speaking about SEMI's questionable mgt. With all that in mind, unless great news surfaces, I'm not confident SEMI will stay on my list for next week. Thank you very much for your help.
