To All: This is the best article I have ever read on Y2K.
Seems a very realistic assessment of the problem. Gives an estimate of 115 billion to deal with the US Y2K problem in contrast with the oft quoted Gartner Group's 600 billion. Also takes the Gartner Group to task for their claims and why they make them.

Roger,

Sure am glad to see the US gov. saving us tax dollars on buying computers! I would guess that is the only place they are saving us money and I would doubt that big time! Always one gets what they pay for and my younger brother whom is in advertising always says one can choose two of the three, Quality, Quantity, and Price when buying something, but can not have all three! Mike and I have always choose Quality and paid the Price!
