My prediction is that IBM will disappoint downward big time....and it will have forward looking statements that predict a REAL problem

I'm buying PUTS....

for the 4th Q...IBM gross revenue of 23.7 B in the mix of 10.4B from North America, 4.4B from Asia, 7.7B from Europe and 1.2 from Latin America

for the 4th Q...IBM received 11.5B from Hardware sales, 5.9 from Services and 3.8 B from Software

while MSFT says 1st Q is going to be gangbusters...and reports are other software companies are doing o.k...IBM is predominantly a Hardware and services co....

THE BOTTOM LINE...SALES OF HARDWARE ARE GOING TO BE A PROBLEM....

BUY PUTS AND WAITING

Jules, you must be having a similar less satisfying time estimating Intel's declining earnings also.

Regards,
