Thanks for the link, Colin. I received an incoming A.C.A. (*ss Covering Alert) unusually early on in the 3rd paragraph. All of the articles of this type that I have read include remarks referring to the FACT that Y2K may cause serious problems. Pretty thin backup, I'd say.

Mr. Noer: yet another journalist who needs to get something out. And he goes after de Jager (sic) because he "....lightly tosses out a $600 billion price tag." If anything has been lightly tossed out it's this piece. Virtually no research done other than reading a few mags at home one evening.
