Please see following link for determining which class of SAP to follow.

sap.com ...then choose "Stock Performance"

You'll see that the SAP Pref is SAG3 not SAP3.
In any case, SAG3 is 880 DM +64DM as of 9:18 EST 4/20/98.

Ibexx,

Today I broke down and bought 50 SAPHY at 173. My broker (a large discount chain) at first refused to do the transaction because they said they cannot get quotes without telephoning a market maker, which is a pain for them to do for their usual fixed price. So I asked them if they wanted me to open an account with Merrill. Finally, I talked to the head of operations and he said he'd do it for me as a favor.

I have a couple of questions and address them to you, since you seem to be one of the more experienced people here:

1) When do you expect NYSE listing?

2) As of now, is SAPHY expected to convert to the new SAP ADRs at 1:1 ratio so I will still have 50 shares?

3) If you have read Moore's Gorilla Game, wherein SAP was mentioned as the gorilla of ERP, why wasn't it put into their model portfolio? In fact none of the ERP vendors have been included.

4) Do you see any good plays in other software providers with applications that interface with SAP (i2 and Manugistics come to mind) or in any of the IT shops that support SAP and provide implementation help (which I have heard soaks up $7 for every $1 spent on software).

TIA,
SC

A couple more questions: Is this the best way of getting quotes for now, i.e., getting German quotes in DM and converting them to dollars at recent exchange rates, or is there some better alternative for online quotes? Is this hassle just because the ADR is an OTC Bulletin Board stock or is there something else going on? I frankly have been unable to follow the earlier discussion on "delisting".
