AV--Not only doesn't he say hello but his ISP goes down almost instantly after his last post. It just came back up. I cannot believe it was down so long since it never happened before. I am more likely to believe that it has something to do with the huge phone box across the street they were working on last night. Two US west trucks with lights were messing with the box. I'll bet I was my own worst enemy since they were probably doing something xDSL related for implementation in this neighborhood. I was not back East for Easter. As a matter of fact, I was trying to conduct business with some pleasure in Vegas. Things did not work out, especially in the plesure department. Dropped a few hundred at the Craps tables but held my own to made some of the losses back at, of all things, Pai Gow Poker. The food and friendship was great but the gaming was frustrating. You can count on me visiting when I do go back East. Just make sure the Bentley is available since we need to book it as our hotel room for the night. This past long weekend I was visiting my best friend's home turf for a combination birthday party for his son and a possible job prospect in my area of expertise. The party went well, really great little boy with a lot going for him. The job part was a bust since we never got around to serious discussions. I thought it might be mutually beneficial for the both of us but, alas, sometimes it is hard to engage in business with real close friends. It may be time to move on to other prospects. Second Class Citizen???? INCONCEIVABLE!!!! The Green blood running through your veins is not of Irish decent but is from liquified greenbacks, bucko!! They do not have a phrase to adequately describe the class of citizen you are.<GGG> Lately I have been feeling one step below steerage class, anchor class (where they drag you under the ship tied to the anchor). All a matter of perspective, oh genius of the Index options. I am still waiting for the "Killer Slevin Put" or as I will call it in the future KSP when the big reversal occurs. I want to bet the farm on that crash for the ultimate downside play. Of course, this crash will not affect any tech stock talked about on this thread. Good that you are holding CYMI since you will not regret it. It will probably allow you to trade up from the Bentley to a Rolls.<GGG> I didn't mention RMBS since I beleive it is almost a lock for success down the road. I am waiting for slightly lower prices before taking another position. I am hoping to see closer to $40. Finally, I am doing fine but must admit that focusing on finances and the market has not entirely overcome my psychological need to have an external salary. With all the lay offs being announced, it is becoming more difficult to find suitable prospects in the marketplace. As silly as it seems, I cannot overcome my 33 year habit and generational work ethic of earning a paycheck. This was rudely evidenced last week when I made my first withdrawal from my portfolio to make the monthly payments. Now all I see is the gradual shrinking of my net worth as time marches forward. It does not sit well with me having to dip into the nest egg to survive. This means diminshing returns at a time where I really wanted to be generating additional net worth until age 50. I know this must sound silly but sometimes it is difficult to mentally overcome the ideals and perceptions that are ingrained into your being from childhood. It also doesn't do my male ego much to know my wife is the principal wage earner for the family. So much for the non sexist attitude I thought I had<GGG>. Damn UTEK, just broke 25. Time to sell the remaining shares when it goes through $27. I really thought it would bottom feed until I could replenish the shares after tax time recovery. I didn't even get enough CALLs to cover the sale. Oh Well, out to early Vance strikes again. This time the harpoon came from his "until they rip them from my dead cold hands" stock. You just gotta love it. Andrew BTW-I couldn't post this message until now. I couldn't get into SI this morning due to network response error. When it rains, it pours. However, in the meantime, I did sell off a "few" shares of NANX at $9 for grins.<GGG> DAMN and Double Damn UTEK, at 25.75 now. Time for some PUT action on this puppy to make $$$$ when it does its slide once more<GGG>.
