James,

I don't care why it's happening. It's indicative of speculation gone nuts as are the internet stocks themselves. The broader market is overvalued by at least a third here. All I'm saying is tread lightly.

Jim, excellent post. When I saw the first runnup of KTEL, I thought exactly the same thing, (unfortunately did not act on it with $$$$, long that is) My reaction was this is just too obvious, a short squeeze just waiting to happen.. I agree with you that the market mechanics that allow this type of thing should be changed. KTEL should have been halted and an accounting made of the shares. I usually stand aside when I see the sort of wild gyrations happening in circumstances such as this, just not worth the emotional angst.....

James have enjoyed your real world posts. Thank you for so eloquently describing the nightmare short scenario ripping - off investors who misrepresent their positions to jump into the outrageous greed being displayed regarding KTEL. I see your profile indicates tug boat - I live in the woodlands and sell G.M. products in cleveland Tx. Where are you located - do you know where TIKI island is? Do you go fishing out in the deep waters of the gulf? I really have seen only one whale far out off south pass Venice La. . We were trolling The weed line for Bill fish. Thanks for the color on this thread.

P.S. Where is the head vs. the tail after today's activity . I have always noticed that major tops often end with small low priced "dogs" having their day - I think your head vs.tail analysis is a quantifiable method of confirming this .

Have you ever back tested that analysis for major tops just before major declines - I.E. 87- or 83 ?
