(oops; *alleged* arm-twisting, sorry ;-) If DoJ wins, can NSCP
sue M$, saying they were forced into giving it away? Imagine
winning a buck a download (sorry, dreaming; I'm long here ;-)

The two are not contradictory. They should have been giving the browser away for free since day one. They didn't - now given that fact they should have started giving the browser away immediately when MS entered the fray, e.g. that was their 2nd mistake.

I disagree that the small amount of revenue generated from early browser sales was that significant, however since we both agree that they should have started giving it away when MS entered I guess its a moot point.
