Last afternoon when the stock was at the now very distant 11 1/4 area I made the case that the earnings estimates (esp. from Briefing.com) are nuts and that ladies and gentleman "I think we have a "developing situation" and it is not good in my opinion." But here enjoy this - more nonsense about the earnings miss: From Motley Fool - we made the GOATS portion (though I would like to call them goats for comparing numbers incl. and excl. one time charges): Database management software developer Borland International (Nasdaq:BORL - news) sank $1 3/16 to $9 15/16 after reporting a Q1 loss of $0.27 per share, including $19.3 million in restructuring and acquisition charges and a $3.8 million tax benefit.
