George,

Yes, in my view, a high-performance connection from Fibre Channel to Ethernet should be a priority. Unfortunately (I think), Ancor seems to be totally focused on the high-end. I have gone back and forth on this issue, but based partly on Roy's comments, I still think there is money to be made at the low to middle part of the Fibre Channel market. That appears to be where the volume is, or soon will be. The high end of the FC market is taking more time to develop than most of us thought. Evidently, it isn't that easy to make an Ethernet to Fibre Channel gateway/router, which means that Ancor (who has the expertise) could be first to market with such a product.
