Okay. Here's a story from Michael's book. When he was about eight--Ron and Nancy were about to marry, or had just married--Dad used to take him out to his ranch and let him ride a palomino pony. Mike really like the pony. This went on for months. Then a few weeks before Christmas Ron told him that he'd only been keeping the pony for another little boy, so Mike would have to do without. Mike was miserable; but as you've guessed, the pony was given to him on Christmas day. Sadistic, I say.
