Positive article on Ascend and not so much so on Cisco just posted on TheStreet.com. Brought out a key point regarding Cisco, where are new Stratacom products ? Seems like they are still trudging along the old stuff to get their foot in the door to sell other products like routers and RAS pitching an End to End solution. It may not be the best in reliability and performance but what the heck who cares ? Its an end to end solution ! But looks like the carriers who hold performance and reliability closest to their heart do care. Besides US West which other significant carrier ATM/FR win has Cisco announced in the last 6 months ? -hitesh

Sector has good news from another analyst report issued today - and which isn't so good for their competitors. So good in fact that I have to compose a song to go with it! However, I have some work to do for a client that will take a couple of hours now and more time later in the evening, so I won't be able to synopsize this report until about 10:00 PM CDT - 11:00 Eastern.. Sorry to tease, but as they say, "News (and a song) at ten."
