There is a well known case here in K.C. involving a very high profile advertising company and its owner.

The owner, by means of his "brother-in-law", obtained some valuable information regarding the goings-on of another very high profile publicly traded company.

The ad exec placed a small amount of money in trade and made a nice little profit. I stress "little"...approx. $15,000 from what I hear. The broker who made the trade on his behalf invested much more than that and gained 1/2 mill.

The ad exec is being pursued now for damages which include his profit, his brokers profit, and damages.

The man is a highly respected citizen in K.C. and has made public statements that he would fight this thing to the end. (which may cost him much more)

Regards,

Jason
