POPE SAYS DON'T TRY TO PREDICT END OF WORLD

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope John Paul said Wednesday
that the end of the world would certainly come someday but it was
useless to try to predict when.

"Attempts to predict the end of the world are illusory and
misleading," the Pope said during his weekly general audience.

In the past few years, the Pope has said several times that it was
wrong to think that the new millennium in the year 2000 would be
accompanied by the Last Judgment.

O.K. End times history and picking the anti-Christ, because Shalom's thread is already set up to discuss the signs of the times, but it still is not pure history, so maybe there should be one for the believers with inside views and a monk-like place to talk and then a pure history current events thread.

I haven't been able to make up my mind if it was needed, but I think it is. Also, I'll start on to discuss the buffalo and the Sioux indians at the same time, and maybe get a good Black Elk thing going. Might just knock the socks off a lot of purist Christians and a lot of God-Christ hating pagans to know that Black Elk ended up pure Jesus Freak, and will quite certainly have a rather impressive crown in heaven, believe me. So, I've wanted these two threads, but again, I'll have to do them tonight. I
will set it up.
