I admire what you were able to share with your mother. Ain't always like that. Not usually, as a matter of fact. The people I've known who had Altzheimer's entirely lost their personalities. As for Patti's attention-seeking, I stand by what I said. All of the children spent, and continue to spend, much of their time trying to win a little attention from Dad. Harder for Michael and Maureen, of course, as he and Nancy showed such obvious preference for Patti and Ron. But even they seem not to have been very happy.
