What's been going on in the internet stocks in most cases has little to do with a paradigm shift. Rather in many of these cases some vague internet relationship is found and there are a stack of mindless speculators out there who are clueless and are trading at minimal commissions on the internet and are bidding some stocks up five fold because some mention was made on CNBC or they find out the chairman will be on CNBC and based on chat room touting sending stocks into the stratosphere. Feels a lot like I believe 2 years ago when similar stuff was going on but the names then were Iomega, IMP and any stock mentioned by the Cabot market letter. That shifted quickly into a significant correction before moving again to new highs. This time the valuations are significantly higher and bullish sentiment is at a bull market high. I am not outright bearish, I'll leave that to Bob to try to call at the proper time but I am not wildly bullish at the moment baby boomers, new era or whatever.
