Thanks for answering my reply so quickly. Almost a record, about 20 seconds.....gotta love SI for interaction, not realtime ,but great for collaborative efforts...hope GNET dont mess it up too much!

Anyway, mis apologies if I had the wrong firm, I am simply commenting on the problems I have seen with firms allowing clients to short stocks where no stock is avail. for borrowing.

Just be careful, no 1/2 point is worth a legal action by the NASD.

Best wishes,
Steve

CyBerTrader seems very conservative about shorting, very particular about following regulations.
That's why their short list is, shall I say, rather short.

Could you elaborate on that?

Apparently you have the same clearing broker as ABW?

Is your list of shortables identical to Watleys?

Some of the very best traders I know go short more than long.

So I was curious how shorts are handled there.
