Many of the Clintonista ideologues despise Morris because Morris is not an ideologue and he, more than any other advisor, helped push Clinton into welfare reform and a balanced budget - things the Lefties were all dead set against. It also didn't hurt that Morris knew that Clinton would embrace anything the polls told him to do in order to get re-elected.
