It 's amazing to see how when the stock goes up everyone is saying good things about the company, etc. But when the price goes down then all of the sudden everything is going bad, etc.

That's hardly unique to BORL and I would venture to say the complaint is that they are growing at a snail's pace. All the technology in the world isn't worth a hill of beans to shareholders if they can't sell product. That point was made by somebody else and I have to agree. I don't think there's much doubt they have enough resources to continue the turn around. Everybody is with you on that including me. They are heading in the right direction but they're already making mistakes and they're not communicating their strategy very well at all. How does Sun's free ORB contrast with the essential VSGN technology? Why do the advertisements for C++Builder have some washed up street bum sitting in an auditorium half asleep? Those are legitimate questions.

if you believe in the company and its products then your investment will do fine.

What a perfectly lovely investment strategy. A friend of mine has a similar theory about 747s - the only reason they actually leave the ground at the end of the runway is because there are 400 people who believe that it will.

I agree with your statement. I think what happened was natural occurance in a turnaround when accompanied by acquisition. Quarterdeck managed to rise to the 40's doing that two years ago until it didn't work anymore. With Borland and Del at the helm, I will bet it will work. I will be a buyer if the stock goes to mid to low 8's. Had I failed to sell into the rally I would thing it is too late to sell now as it may not see the mid to low 8 again for near future and it is usually wrong to let the market (or action in the stock) dictate to you when to sell. Go BORL... Ghassan.

The company is starting to turn around.

The company has been "starting" to turn around for a long while now. Some people may just be saying "Where's the beef?"....
