OFF TOPIC

Bernie,

I can confirm that Datek charges me 7% on margin. I imagine that they are among the better brokers, as far as margin rates go. I currently pay 7.5% at Ameritrade, my other broker. If I am not mistaken, the amount of the margin balance also plays a role (the higher the debit cash balance, the lower the rate.) Also, I understand that Brown and Company is offering 6.75% margin rates. I believe that Brown's is the absolute lowest rate currently available.

As for the other matter... Bernie, please do not take my little dispute with you as some sort of personal challenge. That was not the spirit in which I offered my comments. There has been far too much of that, already. I just couldn't sit idly by while you attacked the intellectual underpinnings of the Black-Scholes and related options pricing models (models which I like and believe to be highly useful.) If we must disagree on this matter, then so be it. Don't take it personally, and neither will I.

Best regards, (sincerely)
RB
