Craig, This McData news seems huge to me. EMC grossed $3.75B last year, compared with $10.75B for Sun. I don't have the actual breakdown in the proportions of each revenue stream that was storage but EMC's is probably much higher. This really makes the FC switching biz a lot more competitive. The good news is that the market is starting to get a lot more solid. The bad news is that it will exert some downward pressures on margins. While I was researching EMC this time I also came across MTIC - discussed on SI as "the next EMC". Might be a stock to watch: mti.com George D.
