I expect Adaptec to rally on bad news since it is down with the disk drive group. That group has rallied on bad news as well. That is the current trading trend. At some other time, I would say it would tank. The fact that it has already tanked; if the bad news comes out; traders will say; "Adaptec is already reflecting the bad news; the bad news is out; it is at a bottome; and then you get the buying interest". Look at WDC for a similar example.
