I lot of us could've. I was even looking for an Internet startup to fund at the Rocky Mountain Internet User Group a couple of years ago. About 6 months after I gave up, a couple of guys in Boulder sold their company to Microsoft for a few million dollars. Instead, I make good money on local public companies like Advanced Energy and Applied Films. I expect Adaptec to be next on the list. I played tennis with some Symbios people the other night and they informed me that they're hiring everyone they can, so the Adaptec people being laid off will have no trouble finding a job. And the Symbios guys are buying Adaptec stock.
