>>What is getting worse?

Micron is just about done eating its young to get its
spending cash -- there are fewer left every quarter.

And what happens if DRAM "only" drops 35% next year, and then "only" 30% the following year? How many years will it take for MU to be BK? What if it is true that MU is way behind foreign competition on transition to 64MB? What if MU has no money for capital expenditures? What if MU must write off Lehigh? What if foreign competition continue to produce in large quantities? What if the dollar stays strong against foreign currencies? What if PC demand continues to disappoint? What if pressure to make computers even cheaper continues? What if the market goes through a significant correction? Shall I continue? Perhaps MU will only lose .75 in August, after having lost over 1.00 this quarter? Is this rosy? I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY, MU IS A POS, NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS ABOUT IT. ANYONE WHO IS LONG IS MENTAL. PERIOD.

Value Line dated April 24, 1998
(1) "Micron Tech is industry's lowest-cost DRAM memory producer."
(2) Dram SUPLY/DEMAND equilibrium still more then 12 months away.
(3) Shows MU 2001-2002 price range at 25-45

My comments:
(1) Micron will remain good trading stock. And since no big up
nor down moves, will remain very forgiving to trading errors.
(2) There should be a lot of 1/2 points between now and 2002 (g)

What do you know about future Micron earnings that make
you so bearish

Not a f*&$ing thing. I'm just gambling that this recent run-up to 32 is unsustainable....hoping it will return to the 28-29 range very soon. If not, then I'll dump my puts at break-even. If it must be known, I'm actually long-term bullish on MU. I think there's going to be some death in this DRAM industry, and I sincerely hope (and believe) that MU will be one of the survivors. I say "I hope" because this is one of the best traders' stocks I have ever seen. :-)
