shows what happens when someone (me namely) just skims a post! totally misinterpreted your point because I've always preferred stocks with big institutional ownership. Will read more carefully in the future...thanks.

Re your observation concerning high institutional ownership, I agree with you, jbe, but doesn't it follow that when a stock with VERY high institutional ownership sells off on VERY high volume, a sharp rebound follows more often than not? My experience has been that HIGH volume is ALWAYS good (i.e., up or down) and it seems that the chances for a rebound would be enhanced if a company has high institutional ownership and it is they who are selling. When their selling is over, the true believers can then resume doing their thing...GATOR II
