Wiley,

Bill G/MSFT already planned(a few weeks ago in an article that I can't find at the moment) a series of publicity counter measures against DOJ in a well timed manner and make them appear to come from 3rd party support. Bombshell or not, the public is going to be fed a bunch of confusing information by MSFT.

MSFT is finanlly showing their true colors when the hired spin doctors started playing with public opinion with carefully orchestrated campaigns designed to deceive. Michael Milken spent millions when he was under investigation, hiring PR firms to make him look like the innocent private citizen being unfairly screwed by big government (read Den of Thieves). If Netscape can hire Bork and Dole, MSFT can do better. I understand that Billy G has already hired Billy C as chief spin doctor. There is no one better in BSing than Billy C in the world right now.

I think the states are far more important than DOJ. Can you imagine if a few states enjoin WIN98 while others don't? Massive confusion.

Ramsey

I agree with you 100%, Wiley. Why do other folk underestimate this guy like this? He has to be one of the best generals, since the Art of War was written. No guns involved but what a campaigner!

>> I also sense that Bill (Gates) that is, will come up with some positive bombshell announcement which will take the heat off MSFT >>

Your outlook for next week? Bullish or Bearish?

Bearish because I think we are already in the beginning of a correction, irrespective of what MSFT does. Finance sector stocks are leading the way after overshooting. Certainly after the DELL results we could certainly go down. Not that they will necessarily be bad but there won't be any more "good news".
