Gentlemen,

I have noticed that my nephew's favorite web site is an associate of Amazon.com yet I do not see their site referenced on your site. I would like to suggest that you add the BookMatch web site link located at bookmatchonline.com to the Amazon.com web site. BookMatch was created and is maintained by Touchstone Applied Science Associates (TASA). The official company site is located at tasa.com

Looking forward to your reply.

Regards,

Tom Kirwin

Dear Tom,

Thanks for writing to us at Amazon.com. We appreciate your interest in our Associates program, however, please note that this program is designed to allow other websites to link to ours, rather than our site providing links to other sites. Here is a brief description:

The Amazon.com Associates program allows your nephew to choose any selection of items he likes from the 1.5 million in-print items in our catalog. He can list his selection (along with any reviews or comments you wish) on his website. Specially formatted links connect your nephew's "bookstore" directly to our catalog, and we handle everything from online ordering to shipping and customer service. Best of all, your nephew, as an Associate, is paid between 5% and 15% of the selling price of items that are sold through these links.

We have a complete description of the Amazon.com Associates program on our website. You can reach it by visiting our home page at amazon.com and following the link on the navigation bar labeled "Associates" or simply use this URL:

amazon.com

There you'll find a complete program description, a thorough FAQ, the complete text of the operating agreement, links to some of our Associate sites and an online self-registration form.

Please don't hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions, and thanks again for your interest in Amazon.com!

Best regards,

Heidi Card

Great Research!

Bret,

Thanks for the info regarding Ms. Kaplan's concerns. I find it interesting that as a Principal and educator she would post such innuendo and supposition. Her statements appear to have half truths and she offers no facts to support her position.

"This is a stock that seems much hype and manipulated by internet touts."

No hype, just facts!

"More importantly, I worked for one of Drake's competitors a few years ago and have some concerns:"

Who was the competitor? Could be a disgruntled employee?

She goes on to use words and phrases as "I understand", "As I recall",
"TASA seems to be", "The 8K says NOTHING", etc. Evidently she has not done much research as she is not very sure regarding her concerns. The only real research involves the 8K which usually says nothing. We all know that the 8-K/A will contain more facts.

"I requested by e-mail (on behalf of my investment club)that TASA answer some of these questions. No reponse whatsoever?"

Again, lack of facts such as when did she send the e-mail. Replies can take anywhere between two to four weeks. E-mail is not treated any differently than correspondence.

What is Ms. Kaplan's agenda?

Regards,

Tom

"Great Expectations" - BookMatch, MLP, BETA and TASA

Bret,

I was so impressed by your post on Yahoo! that I had to re-post it here. Additionally, I have inserted my opinions throughout your commentary which I feel is right on target.

<<I would hope that most of those long on TASA are not so based on anticipation of some kind of "explosive" report about their new internet product. The BookMatch site is a very good idea, and could grow into something. To put its importance in perspective, only $60,000 for development and some site maintenance are its costs so
far. Caught on like wildfire? Probably not. This wouldn't disappoint me.>>

IMHO - the BookMatch product while an exceptional concept with rich content is not the holy grail. We will see this service morph through several changes until the correct formula is found to make it successful. The current configuration does not offer any real attraction to the casual surfer or any other potential user with the exception of a contest and book selection of the week. Why should someone re-visit the site. More free functionality is needed. Perhaps we will see the BookMatch program de-coupled from the awards program creating more hits (visits) to the site. Individuals or institutions who wish to use the free service will of course register upon initial use creating a massive marketing list and demographic profile of the potential awards program customers and sales leads for Modern Learning Press, BETA and TASA. I am certain that schools, libraries, individuals and other institutions with internet access will utilize the BookMatch product. Links to functionally limited DRP products will create a greater awareness and demand for these fine products at very little cost. Ever hear of shareware?

Don't forget, as TASA gains hits it can sell advertising space to other entities in the education field. Perhaps even form mutually beneficial strategic alliances to sell other top rated software in this manner.

This is exciting!

<<I am more interested in the acquisition details, how this goes to the bottom line etc. I can only speculate that we would get something on Drake around latter May.>>

IMHO - With the deal expected to close 6/30 or 7/1 the only pre-announcement from TASA regarding the Drake Business Schools (DBS) would be a decision to cancel the transaction. Don't look for any other news until the closing date. The acquisition details will be documented in the SEC 8-Ka which should be filed post-closing.

<<For now, the consumable workbooks, continued contractual opr., secure testing, phonics products that are coming back into demand, industrial workforce assessment, any plans on weaving this into an integration with post secondary, as well as BookMatch will all be topics of eagerly awaited comment.>>

IMHO - I can't agree with Bret any more on this. He has hit the nail on the head as this statement appears to embody the cornerstone of TASA's business plan.

<<The modest PE and low volume indicates an investment sentiment that is justifiably cautious. I do expect the ask to drift upward as we approach earnings however.>>

IMHO - I doubt that any material earnings will be announced. The stock will drift upward based on the approaching DBS closing date and additional news regarding the success of MLP and BETA.

<<If it dips, I'll buy some more.>>

IMHO - Great idea!

Regards,

Tom
