no splitting, please. Splitting is only good if there is upward momentum. Splitting at a time like this would cause the stock to look even worse, although we all know it's only cosmetic.

Gary, for years I worked very closely with the Treasurer's office of a very large company. They had, oddly enough, stockholders' relations among their reports. The company's rationale behind splitting the stock was, that it had gone very high and the company wished to bring the price within the reach of those it considered its target retail investors. Do you see that in Rambus? Well, let's wish for a split and an upgrade, why not, Peter Pan did fly.

As I said I'm out of RMBS and, perhaps masochistically, have gotten up to my nostrils (long)into CPQ.
