yeah, I've seen that one asked quite bit. The answer that comes back is "...all the people who aren't online...". Which begs the next question, "Well, then how did they get the 11th Hour software?"

Regardless of whether it's a software company, a marketing company, or just a shell company selling stock, the game plan wasn't thought out very well.

The Y2K program patches most problems itself. For the other problems that it cannot patch, it will advise the user on who to contact to remedy the problem. My understanding is that no other product on the market does that.

The Y2K profits will inevitably give out after the turn of the century. However, the long term money will be in the Cat Litter as cats will continue doing their business well beyond that time period.

hmmmm I wonder of the 50 or 75 programs or whatever that are on my
PC .. how many of them have I registered with companies ... maybe 10.

so MAYBE 10 companies will be trying to contact me later this year
or mid next year to tell me about a patch to fix those programs..

guess on the other programs I'm just out of luck and have to GUESS
if they are compliant or not... OR I could buy the CSHK product
to check them all out... really, how many people ever get around
to registering their products.. and how many of you have products
that you downloaded and never even bought? now registering with those
programs is there..

Your assuming that everyone takes the time to register their software with the manufacturer and that no one makes copies of software programs borrowed from friends that cannot be registered.
