P.S. Hoping to hear everyone's take on how well HWP will do. Don't own any but everyone seems to think they are a big threat to CPQ.

Eddie,
IBM, HP, and Compaq announced last Spring that they would be implementing BTO. How much longer do you think it will take them to get their systems "up to speed?" The longer it takes, the more it looks like they are going to fail!

Eddie, I do not think it is impossible to stumble, just improbable. I think Dell will continue to execute better than any other boxmaker. It's fine that CPQ, IBM and HWP are all going to the direct model, but it will be no easy trick to do it as good as Dell or GTW without alienating there distribution channel.

Best of luck to you. By the way, I am also extremely long on CPQ.

:o)
