I've heard about Goldman's "Anti-SOES technology," but I place little credence in it's ability to shake me out of a trade, because much like we cannot tell a MM's true intentions, the same can be said for our intentions...I think mostly they use 'camouflage' to hide large orders; buying in small blocks, selling first to drive the price down, etc.

While I am a huge fan of Level II, it is simply an indicator -- not a reason to be in a position. I do believe that you could piggy-back GSCO all day long and make money over the long term, simply because they trade so much stock, they can't possibly hide it all...
