A History of Power : SI ....cont'd....

Earthside, Beijing, Biosoft Labs, 2032

The biosoft training sessions often produced uncertainty in the early stations of the program, uncertainty at this stage was rare.
ARCUS attended to his duties in the cool eclectic glare of his own programming, which was self divined. Most AI's have an outrageous streak that would put any human to shame.
The AI's estimated and delineated storage dimensions on biosofts. There was no actual way to calculate the true dimension, even for an AI. The best that could be done was a rough simulation. The holographic storage capabilities of biosofts grew along internal lines of logic. Biosofts could reuse space over and over again. An AI could closely estimate the result of a growth process but until a biosoft was finished, there was no way to examine dimensions.
This biosoft was a mid military biosoft and something seemed to be different about it. ARCUS couldn't put a trace on it, some internal lines seemed denser than others, a pattern not encountered before. Some internal sets bore no relation to any feeds that ARCUS was cognizant of, but that was often the case, they could be inferred if enough time was spent on each input matrix, it was an uncertainty. A small probability of a true data corruption existed, it was examined and the percentage chance was enough to warrant a human review. Logic often failed in this type of case, intuition would be needed and a human would have to make the decision, Biosoft KW372 was stopped for review.
The reviewer selected for KW372 was Chu Mei.
Chu Mei was selected from available techs with the necessary skills. ARCUS could not have known that Chu Mei would have some of the tools that he had. The characteristics of the blackware, if known, would have caused a reconsideration.

Of such small events are history made
