Graystone

Your Hi-tech-Sci-fic story is pretty cool!!!!
Having a little taste of my coffee will a mere
moment is lost in this intriguing saga of SI
universe. Maybe a SI story thread could be started
so that you can continue your saga. All in favour
please encourage Graystone. A real nice way to
let your mind escape for just a few minutes.
Many Thanks

Best Regards
Wayne Balkwill

OZ, or Emerald Green

It never failed to unnerve Jon, even after several years. The Dryer compound was protected by sophisticated weapon systems that could handle almost any intrusion short of a qualified military effort. The first line of defense was the small battle robot that zipped up to their vehicle and took up station a few feet above and in front of the car, tracking the occupants and the vehicle by maintaining its position as they moved along. The function of the various protuberances and barrels was classified, but it certainly looked deadly. Nobody ever knocked on the door unseen at OZ.
It didn't bother Jill at all, in fact it had been discomfiting to be without a protective droid, they were not allowed on inter-station or inter-lunar flights. When earthside she had a very expensive droid, mostly defense, quite innocuous but with a lot of punch, nothing at all like this one.

Jill ignored the robot's arrival and began explaining the situation to Jon.
"We have had some type of accident, we don't know the implications yet."

"What type of accident ?", Jon asked, concerned.

"One of our programmer/reviewers went crazy, well, he didn't actually go crazy, something happened to him, at work ?" Jill explained.

Jon knew it was the Biosoft program without even being told.
The directions taken in the last five years had been very controversial. Biosoft had chosen the ground by training and programming biosofts to be far more than simple control units. Recent developments had been very swift. He listened with a growing sense of dread.
"So, what happened, Jill."

"He seems to have stolen a biosoft, one of the new mid military models, and somehow, he has gotten it out of Biosoft's compound, it's gone." she said.

"Doesn't sound to crazy to me." Jon noted."Sounds pretty clever."

"That is the crazy part, nobody knows how he did it, in fact, according to security he didn't."

A second much larger battle robot moved forward from a concealed position near a grove and their vehicle began to slow as the guidance system switched over to the compounds automated system.

A hologram of Brads face appeared, evidently projected by the robot, Hi Jill, Jon, come on up to the big house, make yourselves at home, Jeff and I will be along shortly.
